Spice Up Your Uniform

My school district has a strict dress code, and this year, I've really been focusing on showing them that they aren't going to take away my uniqueness. Here's my dress code, and how I spice it up:

Solid colored polo
Pants that are
   a) dark brown, khaki, navy blue, or black
   b) aren't jeans/cargo pants/sweat pants
Close-toed shoes

There's other stuff, but that's basically the main thing. I add color by wearing bright shoes & shoelaces, and brightly colored belts. The biggest way I add to my "uniform" is wearing solid colored shirts over my polo. It adds so much color, and the right color can do so much for anyone. Here's some other ways!! I didn't think of these, I found them online.

  • Add a fun belt!
  • Do cute stuff with your hair!
  • Wear bright jewelry, pins, etc.
  • Creative socks
  • Scarves
  • Wear cute nail polish
These are kind of vague, so I'm going to give you some ideas. For the belt, wear a weaved one, or maybe a neon. I'm not into studded clothes, but if that's your thing, go for it!! You can do maybe a ponytail, bun, part your hair differently, and maybe headbands and ribbons? There's so much room to adjust there, the possibilities are endless. I think longer necklaces would be easier to see, and dangly earrings look nice, but they're kind of heavy. I, personally, like putting pins on my school I.D. If you don't have one though, stick them on your shirt or backpack! Scarves are kind of self-explanatory, I think, so I won't say anything on that topic. Nail polish. My favorite beauty product in the world. Neon makes a statement for sure, but you can do sparkles, decals, french tips, and tons of other stuff.

I really hope this helped, I know I'm going to put some of these to work. Thanks for reading!!
